There’s a lot you can learn about a person from how they present themselves. About the names they use. Well, my name is Peter Prampton, but my friends have called me “The Praptor” since Middle School, and the nickname hasn’t dropped yet. To be fair I do promote it. It’s a good one.
I’m a twenty-something year old, and about three years ago I moved from the UK to the USA to follow my career dreams in game design. So far not so much on the gaming side, but technology is involved in my work everyday – I’m a coder – so I can’t be too upset.
This site was made as a way for me to fill the time between compiling code and to keep my mind focused elsewhere during the Covid situation. As you likely know, it was an absolute mess. But from mess comes good stuff, and this blog has changed a lot for me in my life.
Honestly, I wasn’t the best writer at first. These skills take time. Learning how to develop them didn’t come naturally, either. But I think I have the hang of it now.
Here’s some fun facts about me and my life:
-I learned how to code by teaching myself from a young age, and got a degree to help me have some clout behind my coding.
-My first interactive code was a randomizer that, when you pressed the right number on boot, would show you a picture of a dinosaur
-When I was a kid I thought I was going to be a palentologist because dinosaurs were, and still are, so cool to me
-I got my nickname aged eleven and it hasn’t gone yet
-My favourite food is chicken tikka
-Purple is…not my favourite colour. I know, weird right? But I do love it. My fave is green
-My long term goals are to work in the US for another ten years, and then return to the UK to start my own business
-Despite everything I have yet to build myself a gaming PC. Hopefully that’ll change soon, though
A little smattering of details about me there. Let me know if there’s anything else you want to know!
